My name is Leslie, and I am the owner and founder of Santia Day Spa located in La Mirada, CA. I would personally like to  welcome you to my website and expressing interest in visiting Santia Day Spa. Whether for relaxation, or to improve your skin's health or appearance, I look forward to seeing you soon. And, if you like, we can work together developing a skin care plan to meet your skin care goals and needs for healthier skin.

A little about me and how I became an Esthetician.

In the Beauty Industry 1986:

Oddly enough, I first started out in the beauty industry 38 years ago as a manicurist. I absolutely loved it and thought I would be doing nails for ever and ever! I really didn’t see much more in my future than simply getting up every morning, driving to the Beauty Salon in my ’63 Volkswagen Bug and working all day long, creating art on nails and making women feel beautiful. I just loved it! 

Took A Detour 1989:

Sometimes things do not always work out the way you want them to, and my career had done just that. Fortunately, at that time a close friend of mine recruited me into the Telecommunications Industry where I continued to work for a fortune 500 company over the next 26 years. Wow! Right? It was a good gig! I worked hard, learned a lot and eventually landed the National Marketing Director role overseeing Small Business Acquisition across the Country. Many of the practices I learned and used in that industry helped me to start and grow my business, even in the most unfavorable economic times.

Back in the Beauty Industry 2016:

I never thought I would return to the Beauty Industry it was the farthest thing from my mind. But when I was faced with looking for a new job, I thought…I want to help people. I felt this way because of the astronomical stress I had been faced with in the last 3 years in my former career working for the wicked witch of the East. I know… I know… sounds so childish but it did lead me where I am today. 

You see… for me to survive those last 3 years I needed an outlet, and it was not exercising, it was not reading a book, it was not even a friend or a glass of wine. It was Self Care.  So, I turned to Burk Williams where I could rest in the Quiet Room, rejuvenate in the Wet Room, and decompress with a massage or facial. Yes, sounds corny and this is no way an advertisement lol its just the God’s truth. Every time after a treatment with my Esthetician I would feel grounded, and I could take on the world. If it were not for her and the amenities at the spa, I would have landed in the looney bin, on workman’s comp and on unemployment. I genuinely believe that. 

Today:

Because of that experience and my own personal battle with Acne and now Aging.  This is what I aspire to bring to you. A place where you can recharge your body, clear your mind, feed your soul, and ground yourself. Self-Care & Self-Love.   Although my one suite treatment room is small and no Burk Williams, I promise to provide you the sincerest experience possible to heal your heart and create positive changes to your skin.
